When a shoe bites, when a bee stings, when a thorn pricks, we rush to take it out. Out , out and away.
So when words hurt, or a situation troubles us, it means the same, my wise friend said as she quotes Paulo Coelho. If something is so uncomfortable, its a sign. A sign that you need to set out on the path of change.
A sign that your inner self isn’t happy. The old has served its purpose. Respect it, be grateful for it and bid it adieu. Let in the new.
A situation, a conversation, an issue that makes us cry our hearts out or punch our fists in the air, isn’t a sign of how much we dislike what is happening.
It is also a sign that it hurts, because we actually think this is true…so in pain we defend ourselves, or call someone else unfair. It is us who needs to acknowledge the truth and seek a new solution. We can’t blame the shoe or the bee, or the thorn. And lament about their injustice . They serve their beautiful purpose, they protect, they take care and when its time they teach us to do the same.
When in pain, we can look deeper to see whats’ really happening within. We can’t go on walking with torn shoes. So take away that which hurts, truly look at the wound, and with our own hands , with tenderness, take care of the wound, tend to it, heal it. Let’s go buy new shoes, some new flowers in full yellow bloom.
Change begins.
This is perfect for me today. Many thanks for the words, the timing and you, Uzma. Time for me to do some inner reflections.
Change from an ‘uncomfortable’ place of being has been exactly on my mind today. Yes, the contemplation today of how to move away from the ‘uncomfortable’. I thought Uzma wll no doubt be right on ‘time’ with the perfect *wisdom* to help give direction.
I chose to walk blind upon a path of roses that
lay down before me.
Thorns pierced my feet.
The bee not wanting to give up his pollen stung deep.
I must put on shoes so that I may flee.
Yes my feet hurt inside as I run to leave.
As I lose the fragrance of the path.
I become to respect the lesson learned and once again
do seek to laugh.
Thank you Uzma!
Subhanallah! LIGHT! the essence of life:)
