How to conquer fear

Vanquish it with the stroke of a sharp sword.

Courage is the sword.  Begin in your tent of silence to identify the fear. Sit on your table of strategy and learn to change the thought of fear to one of hope . Step out with the sword of courage and act.

Fears bog us down and feel like stones tied to our feet. So we don’t walk the road we’d like to and stay where we are. Stuck.

The solution begins with the question. What is the name of your fear ?What haunts you? What darkness blinds you from beautiful light?

Fear of failure, fear of ridicule, fear of the unknown. The fears out there are plenty. Like the spiders web they ensnare us and we’re caught.

So I looked hard and found the name of the fear first.

Then I realized it isn’t true. It’s only a thought in my mind. A thought I can change anytime. I kept paying attention to where it came from, what it meant. Yet just knowing its name, was enough.

Then I realized. Staying stuck in the fear of failure was failure in itself.

What was worse, to never try and fail or try and learn.

So I drew forth my sword, and left the darkness behind.

Here I am, writing my heart alive.

The thing about swords is that when the ‘One’ pulls out his/hers, there are many that follow…and those who have always had it in them will soon be rid of their fears and find their own technique their own path to discovering that light.
