Moving into gratitude.

Gratitude, I’ve noticed makes the heart sing.  Its makes us enjoy the present, this moment, this second that is our gift.

So in an attempt to create many moments of happiness, moments of the heart singing, and soul soaring, I will be capturing the moments of gratitude in and around me.

This comes after the realization that it is so easy to get stuck in worry and complaining and the sinking sand of negativity.  It becomes the only whirlwind thought in our mind, making us so sad and cranky.

On the other hand, being grateful helps us snap back, in a jiffy. Suddenly, we’re humming tunes, walking with a bounce in our step, are so much more creative and just happy 🙂

Today, I am grateful for this, the ability to snap into gratitude and happiness. I am grateful for the recognition, that this is a choice we make.

Grateful for good music and my purple ipod. Grateful for my Yoga teacher and the new perspective I am gaining after years of practice. Appreciate all the new learning about deep breathing and recognizing and co-relating our state of mind and body with our breaths, for the new experience that slow , measured breathing brings so much calm and joy, that this too is our choice.

The days and night, all swing from darkness to light, from time to time. I am grateful for all the wisdom both ends of the spectrum bring and for learning to balance both sides.

How has gratitude melted your hearts today ?

Yes, gratitude has melted my heart today…a wonderful day spent with my beautiful daughter!
In fact, I mentioned you to her dear Uzma,,, your gracious wisdom…your simplicity. We had a engaging conversation at the Jyoti Bihanga (Sri Chinmoy) restuarant http://www.jyotibihanga.com/. You just might have her paying a visit to your site. She is off to University within the week. She will be in a Yoga class herself. I have gratitude for the excellent school work she has thus done 🙂

I have gratitude for kind people like you!

    Thank you Uzma!

    Namaste

“sinking sand of negativity” A perfect description. The longer one is in negativity, the faster the sands fall.

Gratitude is the doorway to peace and happiness. It’s so true, Uzma, that we can “snap” into gratitude and a transformation begins immediately. At times, I only need to remember to take in one breath and experience the universe of life it provides. Gratitude snaps! 😀
