From fear to True North.

What we resist, is an indicator of our true work, our calling, our direction to take right now in life. True north, author Steven Pressfield calls it , in his book,’ the War of Art’. The idea amazes me. How brilliant and how practical and applicable.

Some of us, do many exercises and read so much on finding our purpose in life, our calling, our art form, our song, our recipe.

This is such a great idea. What we resist, what we fear, what we’re scared off, what we put off, THE MOST, is an indicator. This is IT.

What we run away from the most, is where we truly want to be, THE MOST. The book we want to write ,the language we would like to learn, the places we’d like to see,are all hidden away by our resistance, our blocks, our procrastination or fear. Listen to the fear, the uncertainty, they’re signs, of what we need to overcome, where we need to be.

Like the idea very much. Hope you like the indicator too.

I like the concept of ‘true north’ since I know with any compass, we have to calibrate at different times. It’s necessary to do that with life. Yes, Uzma, I like this, too.

True Amy. Thank you for that wisdom. To calibrate and re-calibrate, to grow and shine. How wonderful, may we always find our true north. God bless.

    Greetings Uzma,

I feel fantastic energy with this ‘Northerly’ post.

Simple ‘truth’ revealed is that are ‘fears’ and ‘resistance’ equals our ‘imagination’.

“The imagination is continually at work filling up all the fissures through which grace might pass.”
    ~ Simone Weil

Yes set the compass with a northern intention…

May your soul be flooded with light.

    Thank you Uzma!
